According to Velocity, Sonic Hard Seltzer arrived in the state of Oklahoma on 17 May, where it can be found in most liquor, convenience and grocery stores.

In August 2021, the seltzer will be distributed across five other states – Nebraska, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.

If the drink proves popular there, you’ll be able to find Sonic Hard Seltzer in 20 states by spring 2022. It will be available in Costco, Target, Walmart, Whole Foods and independent liquor and convenience stores.

However, Sonic Hard Seltzer won’t be available at Sonic Drive-Ins.

More seltzers coming out this year

There’s a lot of competition in the seltzer sector.

In December 2020, Gordon Ramsay announced he would launch his own line of spiked seltzers – Hell’s Hard Seltzer.

That’s right – the Kitchen Nightmare’s devilish chef is getting his own beverages this summer, inspired by popular menu items from Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurants.

The flavours will include Berry Inferno (peach, blueberry and raspberry); Knicker Twist (passion fruit, pineapple and orange); and Mean Green (kiwi fruit, lime, mint and pineapple).
